Aboard Museum Ship Popular
The first wedding ceremony aboard the S.S. Willis
B. Boyer for the 1998 season was February 7th, when
Joyce Back and Michael Williams were married in the
pilot house.
The couple chose to be married in the pilot house,
with the Toledo downtown skyline as a back drop. The
new Mrs. William's two children were also in attendance.
Reverend Merrill Braymer, pastor of Collingwood United
Methodist Church, said he had performed wedding ceremonies
in many locations, “but aboard the Boyer was
the most interesting.”
Other events aboard the ship include a 50th birthday
party and a golden wedding anniversary.
